Each year on April 22, more than a billion people celebrate Earth Day. Around the globe, people participate in activities like picking up litter, planting trees, going meat-free, walking or riding their bikes or shopping at a local farmer’s market. It’s a day to renew our commitment to helping preserve and protect our planet.

So today, we thought we would share how to say “Happy Earth Day” in a few languages from around the world.

Dutch: Tag der Erde
Danish: Heldig Forbinde Med Jorden Dag
French: Bonne Journee de la Terre
German: Glücklicher Masse Tag or Tag der Erde
Norwegian: Glade Jord Dag
Polish: Zadowolony Ziemia Dziea
Spanish: Feliz día de la Tierra
